		The Family Giving Tree's Back-to-School Drive works with more than 100 Bay Area social service agency and schools.  These organizations supply us with information about the children they serve year-round.  These are real children with real needs, who would otherwise go without a backpack on the first day of school.  A backpack card is printed for each child, detailing their grade level and gender and the supplies needed to start the school year off right! Current Agencies We help agencies and schools all over the Greater Bay Area.  The backpacks donated through the Back-to-School Drive are distributed to children enrolled in the Free/Reduced Lunch Programs at their schools.  Follow this link for a current list of registered organizations for the 2007 Back-to-School Drive. Thank You Letters and Pictures Thank you letters from the individuals we assist in our community remind us about the importance of giving.  Every year we receive letters from the people we help letting us know how this program has affected their lives in a positive way.  We recognize that most donors don't get a chance to see exactly where their backpack goes, so we've collected some of these letters for you here.
