*The Family Giving Tree began an informal backpack giveaway program in 1996. 

From 2001-2006 we partnered with RAFT (Resource Area for Teaching) to found The Back-to School Drive.

**In order to focus on their core mission of providing teaching support to teachers in our community,

RAFT handed over complete responsibility of The Back-to-School Drive to the Family Giving Tree in 2007.
