| Being
a Host Company is Easy!
Any organization can be a host
Any company, school, or business can host a Giving Tree simply by having a representative from your organization fill out the host enrollment form above. For more information about what it means to be a host, please read on further.
Donate
space to display Wish Cards
Giving
Tree hosts donate space to display wish cards, containing the first
name, age and unique wish of needy children, somewhere at their
place of business. Many companies hang the wish cards from
Christmas trees in their lobby, cafeteria, or break area. The wish
cards are prepared by the Family Giving Tree and delivered to the
sponsoring companies in November. Each pack of cards contain
a specific ratio of ages, for more info click
here.
Choose
a Representative
A
representative from the company becomes responsible for hanging
the wish cards, "marketing" the cards to employees and/or customers,
collecting the donated gifts and dropping
the collected wishes off at our warehouse.
For companies with multiple sites and/or buildings, sometimes the
on-site coordinator organizes a group of volunteers to help. In
this case each person in the group is assigned responsibility for
cards and gifts for a specific building/site.
Returning
Hosts
If
you were a host in the past, please fill out the host
enrollment form again for this year if you would like to receive
wish cards. We would like you to fill out the enrollment form
even if you are one of those very rare organizations whose
complete information has remained the same since last year -- it
only takes about 1 minute!
Volunteer
Opportunities
Host
companies receive priority registration
for group volunteer activities. Contact volunteers@familygivingtree.org for more information about signing up.
