YOU can make a difference... Volunteer

We are deeply grateful for the more than 8,000 volunteers who give of their time to work hand-in-hand with the Family Giving Tree.

Interested in volunteering during the Family Giving Tree's Back-to-School and/or Holiday Wish Drives?  We’re always looking for people who want to have fun, are passionate about our work and love giving back to their community.  You can also support our mission year-round by volunteering in our office, interviewing our recipient agencies or representing the Family Giving Tree at volunteer fairs.

  • Months Offered: August & December, M-Sat. 10am- 5pm with occasional night shifts
  • Location: Back-to-School and/or Holiday Wish Drive warehouse (announced just prior to Drive)

home spotlight2The Family Giving Tree is proud to recognize Madelline Garza!

Over the past several months, Madelline has diligently worked on numerous projects in and out of the office, all with a smile on her face. She has shown off her sewing skills, by repairing the zippers on all donated backpacks so that no child received a broken one. Madelline has cut thousands of ribbons in preparation for corporate Backpack Builds, taken home craft projects, and volunteered at our Back-to-School Drive warehouse. Each time Madelline volunteers, she makes sure to involve her daughter, passing on the importance of community engagement.
