Great Mall VIP Treatment
Visit the Great Mall in Milpitas between 10am and 2pm on December 3rd with your FGt Wish Card and receive the star treatment! Shoppers with wish cards from the Family Giving Tree’s Holiday Wish Drive will enjoy reserved parking near Mall Entrance #2, a reusable Great Mall shopping bag filled with coupons and samples, free coffee, bottled water and treats…RAIN or SHINE! Show your Wish Card or receipt to the parking attendant to participate.

The Family Giving Tree Elves host a competition each year, located at the Holiday Wish Drive warehouse, amongst the employees of our host companies and biggest supporters, to share the holiday spirit and bring awareness to the needs of the 60,000 children and families the Family Giving Tree helps during the holidays.

Back to School Drive 2011 Events
Slam Dunks at Cisco Systems
Cisco hosted a basketball tournament to benefit FGT's Back to School Program! The tournament was just in time for school, on August 18th. The Queen Elf was there painting faces and giving the play by play!
Stryker Rocks!
Congrats Stryker Endoscopy, voted #1 place to work in the Bay Area! They had a dunk tank ($1 per ball), tug-of-war, and a raffle for employees hoping to vacation days ...all proceeds benefitted the Family Giving Tree!
Stuff the Bus at Synopsys
Employees at Synopsys gathered to stuff backpacks full of supplies onto a large school bus destined for the Family Giving Tree!
Backpack-Stuffing at Applied Materials
Applied Materials SSG Team stuffed backpacks full of needed supplies ready to be delivered to student’s in need via The Family Giving Tree’s Back-to-School Warehouse!
Samsung Assembly Line
Employees at Samsung filled hundreds of backpacks destined for the most difficult students to provide for: High School-aged students. Geared up for school with graphing calculators in hand, Samsung ensured many students were prepared for school and had a great time doing it!

NARPM Golf Tournament
The Santa Clara County Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers held its’ 7th annual golf tournament at the Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose. The sun-splashed day featured numerous local players and NARPM members teeing up, as well as Family Giving Tree Chief Operating Officer David Bratton-Kearns and Chief Financial Officer Jess Gutierrez. Contributions from NARPM members and the golf tournament totaled more than $1,300 for the Family Giving Tree’s Back to School Drive.
NVIDIA Dodgeball Tournament
The pay-to-play dodgeball tournament featured 16 teams of NVIDIA employees battling each other for the chance to play a final round match against top NVIDIA executives, including Co-founder, President and CEO Jen-Hsun Huang. As one might expect, the executives came ready to play, decked out in neon green headbands, wristbands and of course, protective upper body harnesses. While NVIDIA employees and their families enjoyed a fun-filled evening, organizations like the Family Giving Tree truly benefited the most. All told, the $25 per-player buy-in tournament raised approximately $14,000!
