Angel Elves
Do you want to help the Family Giving Tree in a special way? Angel Elves are experienced volunteers willing to donate their time and skill set to help our programs run smoothly.
Some Angels Elves supervise other volunteers at the warehouse on multiple days. Some help with special events and other activities such as the Executive Elf Challenge and wish card sorting. In the warehouse during Back to School (August) and Holiday Drive (December), tasks may involve set up, greeting other volunteers as they come into the warehouse, store supervision and supervision of gift shipping and receiving. Angel Elf responsibilities depend on the person's experience and comfort level with specific tasks.
Elf Teams
Join an Angel Elf team and let us put your skills to use! Most teams are led by FGT Elves and include regular communication between team members. To join a team, contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@familygivingtree.org. Current teams include:
Agency Interview: Help us screen our agencies! Click here for more info.
Photographer/Videographer: Document events, produce videos to share and promote our programs.
Executive Elf Challenge: Brainstorm with our Event Coordinator to come up with fun games to make this event a success.
Warehouse Volunteer Trainer/Supervisor: Are you an experienced warehouse volunteer? Help us train groups to receive, process, shop for and distribute gifts in the warehouse this December.
Holiday Store Helper: Join Nana's team to help keep the overflow stock of gifts in the warehouse organized during the Holiday Wish Drive.
Warehouse Recycling: Become a member of this important committee dedicated to reducing the Elves' carbon footprint.
Wish Editing: Help us sort through our database of wishes! Contact our Agency Coordinator for more information or to schedule a time to come to our office to help.
Warehouse Safety: This team makes safety a priority. If you have disaster preparation experience or otherwise useful skills in this area, please help us secure our warehouse.

Our warehouses are usually cold and not carpeted and we cannot provide chairs. Persons with disabilities or those that may need special attention should contact the volunteer coordinator in advance.
