Providing the Tools to Do More Good

We’re thrilled to share a special thank-you to the Rotary Club of San Jose Foundation for their generous support of Family Giving Tree’s Community Hub through their 2024–25 Community Grant. With their investment of $2,450, we were able to purchase four iPads, along with keyboards and stands—tools that will significantly enhance how we welcome and support volunteers throughout the year.

As of May 10, 2025, the technology has been fully acquired and is already being prepared for use in our upcoming Back-to-School Drive in July. These devices will help us: streamline the volunteer check-in process, track volunteer hours in real time, improve data accuracy, reduce wait times, and enhance accessibility and the overall volunteer experience

Each year, Family Giving Tree engages thousands of volunteers to help us serve more than 85,000 Bay Area residents, including 35,000 students receiving backpacks filled with school supplies and 50,000 individuals receiving holiday gifts.

Much of this impact happens right here in San Jose and the greater Santa Clara County, making the Rotary Club’s investment especially meaningful to our community.

This infrastructure upgrade ensures our small but mighty team can work more efficiently while maintaining the warmth and care we bring to every volunteer interaction. In short: these iPads aren’t just tools—they’re catalysts for deeper impact.

Thank you, Rotary Club of San Jose, for helping us build a more connected, more effective Community Hub.
